The Anderson Community Band (ACB) is pleased to announce the ACB 2022-23 Concert Series Finale at Anderson Center Theatre to be held on Sunday, June 2 at 3:00 PM.
The program is titled Bravo Brass!, a variety program that will include the music of classical composers such as Giuseppe Verdi and Gordon Jacob and contemporary works by John Mackey, Brian Balmages and Luigi Zaninelli. ACB Assistant Conductor David Smith will conduct Balmages' Fanfare Forza while guest conductor Rick Elliott will take the podium for Zaninelli's She Walks Through the Fair.
Cincinnati favorite trombonist Jaime Morales-Matos will perform Arthur Pryor's Blue Bells of Scotland and have your feet tapping with his rendition of Tico-Tico. The ACB Trombone section will be brought to the fore for Henry Fillmore's fiery circus march Rolling Thunder.
The program is free and will start at 3:00 PM. It will be approximately one hour in length. We hope to see you there!
